Both teams made extensive use of their substitutes in warm conditions, with several summer signings featuring in both sides.
Dynamo found themselves two goals down after 23 minutes to the Northern Premier League Premier Division side. First Jack Muldoon scored with an outstanding solo effort, followed by a superb through ball by Nick Hague to Ellis Wall who slotted home.
By half time Dynamo were level through a header by Kris Nurse from a right wing cross, then Bruno Holden converted a pass from Dean Gent.
While the first half had been fairly even, Dynamo were the better team in the second half, and the winning goal came in the sixty-ninth minute with a long range effort from Nathan Kelly finding the corner of the net.
After the match Loughborough Dynamo manager Tom Brookbanks commented "After a slow start I thought we showed good character to get back on level terms, which reflects the good team spirit here in the club. I felt we dominated the second half and thoroughly deserved the win".
