Grantham started the match having the better of the play, and this was highlighted with a two goal lead by the half hour mark. Grantham's opening goal after nineteen minutes came from a free kick, the ball being rolled to Messiah McDonald who drove home a deflected shot.
In the twenty-eighth minute a through ball to MacDonald set him up to slot home the second goal.
The match then changed in the space of minute. A long range shot from Rob Norris was deflected wide of visiting goalkeeper Jake Turner in the thirty-ninth minute, and sixty seconds later Norris picked up a rebound from a blocked shot to fire in a fine equaliser.
Tempers had become a bit frayed on the pitch late in the first half, and this carried on after half time and matters threaded to boil over at times
As with friendly matches several substitutions occurred in the second half which broke play up.
Both sides had a chance to win the match, with both goalkeepers making outstanding saves. Dynamo goalkeeper Laurie Pearson turned a shot from Jamie McGhee on the bar, while at the other end Turner kept out Jake Betts header.
After the match Dynamo manager Tom Brookbanks said "This was a very competitive match which we needed, and it highlighted the good team spirit here at the club".
Dynamo's final pre season friendly is away at Hinckley United on Saturday August 10th, kick off 3.00 pm
