Dynamo Suffer from Missed Chances

The visitors, who play two levels below Dynamo in the non league structure, took their chances while Dynamo did not, the home side failing to convert two penalties.

In the sixth minute Premier League Referee Kevin Friend awarded a penalty to Dynamo for a foul. However Rob Norris saw his penalty well saved by Adam Fletcher-Warrington, diving to his left.

Four minutes later Oadby Town forward Courtney Meade pulled wide on the right, drew home goalkeeper Laurie Pearson, centred, but saw Carl Sibson clear for Dynamo.

In the fourteenth minute Fletcher-Warrington just beat Dynamo number 9 Bruno Holden to a through ball.

Three minutes later a good solo run by Luke Smithson saw him drive a shot straight at Fletcher-Warrington.

In the twenty-fifth minute Nathan Watson set up Holden, Fletcher-Warrington producing a good save.

The remainder of the first half saw the match develop into a midfield challenge, with very little goalmouth activity, although Fletcher-Warrington was the busier of the two goalkeepers.

The first goal of the game arrived early in the second half. In the fifty-first minute Meade broke clear of the Dynamo defence to fire home a gold shot to give Oadby the lead. Dynamo equalised a minute later, Watson's looping right wing centre eluded Fletcher-Warrington, dropping into the net behind him.

The sixtieth minute saw Norris put a shot just wide of the near post, followed by a Joe Pheasant header from a Holden centre headed at the goalkeeper.

With thirteen minutes to go Watson went down in the penalty area under pressure from two defenders, referee Friend waving away Dynamo penalty appeals.

The eightieth minute saw Dynamo awarded their second of the game for a shirt pull. This time Watson took the spot kick, but blazed over the bar.

Substitute Kris Nurse the had a chance for Dynamo, his first effort being saved by the goalkeeper, Nurse then firing the rebound across the goalmouth.

The match swung dramatically Oadby's way in the last three minutes. First Meade was put through in the area to drive home. Sixty seconds later, with Dynamo seeking an equaliser, the ball was cleared by Oadby, the visitors breaking at speed, Meade netting for his hat-trick and sealing Oadby's 3-1 win.
