Dynamo exited this season's Loughborough Charity Cup at the quarter final stage at the hands of Midland Football Alliance club Quorn on Wednesday night at the Nanpantan Sports Ground.

Quorn were the dominant team in the first period without turning their superiority into a half time advantage.

The fourth minute saw a free kick shot over the bar by Quorn captain Lewis Dodd. Dynamo came back in ninth minute when Quorn keeper Michael Turner headed clear, Matt Langham fired a shot on target which drew an outstanding save from Turner.

Dynamo winger Luke Smithson then saw his goalbound shot blocked, Quorn breaking straight down the pitch and Alex Honour hit the post. Jamie Allen followed up and Dynamo keeper Kahil Mann-Kler produced an outstanding save to prevent the opening goal.

The twenty-fifth minute saw Quorn's Sam Richards cut a centre back into the path of Sam Buckingham who shot just over the bar.

It was all Quorn at this stage, and a Dodd centre saw Buckingham send a header just over.

In the thirty-seventh minute Quorn had a good chance to take the lead but Honour shot well wide.

Within a minute of the restart Honour made amends for his miss when he cut in on the left side of Dynamo"s penalty area and fired home to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Dynamo had a chance to equalise in the fifty-third minute after nice place between Langham and Jarrod Westcarr set up Rob Norris, but his shot went just over.

Dynamo did draw level in the sixty-eighth minute when Langham and Turner went for a left wing centre. The ball broke loose and Langham was first to react and turned the ball home.

This did not deter Quorn, however, and two goals in three minutes settled the match. Mitch Williams was robbed of the ball in midfield in the seventy-seventh minute, the ball being fed to Jamie Allen who fired home. Allen then broke clear of a stretched Dynam back line, rounded Mann-Kler, and turned the ball home.

Dynamo pulled a goal back in the last minute of regular time when Kadeem Price turned a left wing centre home, but Quorn came out deserved winners.

The semi final draw is (dates to be be arranged):
Shepshed Town v Barrow Town
Quorn v Sileby Town
