DYNAMO 1-4 GRESLEY

In their first home friendly of preseason, Loughborough Dynamo fell to a disappointing 4-1 defeat against Gresley Rovers.

In a game that was played in scorching heat, there were plenty of chances for both sides as both keepers were kept busy.

Dynamo got off to a good start when new signing Ryan Nesbitt was first to a rebound and tucked the ball away after 5 minutes.

Gresley, however, didn’t let their heads drop and they grew into the game and a defensive mix up led to Alexander having to make a good save in the Dynamo goal.

The game was punctuated by drinks breaks due to the heat but that didn’t stop the flow of chances in the first half.

Just before the half time interval, Gresley equalised with a counter attack that came from a Dynamo corner and Steve Hart found the corner.

The second half was a bit more one way traffic with Gresley managing to control the game and restrict Dynamo possession.

Ten minutes into the second half, Danny Munday hit the inside of the post for the away side before a few minutes later applying the finishing touch after a goalmouth scramble to make it 2-1.

The Moes did have chances to equalise after that with Ryan Nesbitt having a trio of chances but the Gresley goalkeeper made a good couple of saves.

Numerous changes affected the flow of the game as we went through the second half but that didn’t stop Gresley from putting the game to bed.

On 77 minutes, Kasongo scored on his debut for Gresley as he went through 1 on 1 and slotted the ball past Ruben Rabstein.

But their goal scoring didn’t stop there. As the game reached 90 minutes Burniston was unmarked on the edge of the box for Gresley and slotted the ball in the right corner to make it 4-1.
