Here’s our match report from Dynamo’s win in their final pre season game

Loughborough Dynamo’s preseason ended in pleasing fashion today as they won 4-1 at home to Lincoln United in their final friendly.

Dynamo controlled the game well and they never seemed to be threatened too much as they passed the ball around and nicely and took their chances well.

It could have been different, however, as Lincoln had their first shot on target after just 10 seconds as their attacker was put through on goal from a defensive error, but Alexander got down to make a good save.

After that Dynamo controlled the game and it took just 10 minutes for them to break the deadlock with a superb strike from striker Ryan Nesbitt. He received the ball near the right-hand touchline and cut into the box to unleash a shot with his left foot that clipped the bar and went in.

The Moes kept the ball well after the goal and controlled the game well for the rest of the first half with very few chances for either team. Courey Grantham came the closest for the hosts as he was played through by Merlin Ferrinho and he saw the keeper off his line and his chipped effort went just wide of the post.

And with 10 minutes to go in the first half, Luke Thorogood doubled Dynamo’s lead with a nice turn on the edge of the box and he was able to put his stabbed shot past the keeper to make it 2-0.

The second half was quite a quiet affair with very few chances in the first 20 minutes of the half for either side. Lincoln United did pull a goal back halfway through the second half to make it a bit more interesting as they beat Alexander at his near post from a direct free kick.

However, Dynamo didn’t let them get back into the game and Ryan Nesbitt ensured it would be a Dynamo win with 20 minutes to go as he dummied his defender and slotted the ball past the keeper from close range to make it 3-1.

And Trialist A capped off a good day for the Moes as he rounded the keeper late on and made it 4-1 to Dynamo in what was a very convincing win for the side.

With preseason now finished, fans will be looking to the competitive season kicking off which starts next week away at Spalding on Saturday 14th August in a 3pm kick off.
