Both teams fielded a changed line-up from their respective Saturday League encounters and it was Dynamo who took the early initiative when Jake Dale-Brown played in Jack Roberts whose shot flew into the net from 25 yds after 5mins. This appeared to rock F.C and Dynamo had chances to extend their lead, notably Ash Way’s header just over the bar and Calum Ross shot whistled wide whilst Matt Langham’s shot was blocked. F.C came back into the game and George Himan released Ryan Page who was thwarted by a good interception by Kahil Mann –Kerr. Just when F.C appeared to be coming more into the game Dynamo struck again, Ash Way was allowed time to deliver a cross which beat everyone except Ross who headed home unmarked at the far post. Luke Edwards then had a header cleared off the line and struck the upright with a vicious drive from 20yds before the same player was denied by an excellent save from Dan Buchanan. F.C ended the first period strongly and both Page and Ross Locker had shots blocked by Dynamo defenders.
On 59 mins the game was as good as over when Will Grocott delivered the perfect through ball for Matt Langham who made no mistake from just inside the F.C. box. Way then released Edwards who picked out the advancing Langham, unfortunately he got under the ball and skied from 8yds out. F.C. continued to play their passing game and a good move involving Page and Bancroft created a chance for Himan who hit the post with Mann-Kerr beaten. With F.C. down to ten men due to illness and all subs used Dynamo created a number of chances in the final 15 mins with Buchanan making saves from Edwards, Way and Roberts and Langham denied by the upright.
