Dynamo's management used this match to give the squad players a game and to take a look at some of the promising talent in Dynamo's under 21 & 18 teams.

A youthful team were eager to please and from the kick off pushed Sileby on to the defence and were rewarded with a tenth minute goal, when Jacob Blackwell hit a far post cross that Mitch Williams headed back into the six yard back and Dan Stevenson converted. Having taken the lead Dynamo were unable to capitalise on the position and although they had the majority of the possession they, in the main, failed to trouble the Sileby custodian. Sileby began to get into the game and looked dangerous down their right with Chris Wilson knocking in a number of crosses, but Dynamo's defence dealt with them. A Dynamo break from a Sileby corner ended with a shot from Jamie Allen, but Andy Perry got his fingers to the effort and tipped it over the bar. In the last few minutes of the half Dynamo had two free kicks on the edge of Sileby's area but both efforts, one from Blackwell the other from Dan Henton, were driven at Perry, who gathered them comfortably.

After the restart it was Dynamo who again set the tempo of the game and they should have doubled their score when Carl Sibson played a through ball for Allen to run onto but Allen, one on one with the keeper, hit the shot at Perry. Blackwell, returning from a lengthy injury, was having a good game on Dynamo's right and was troubling the Sileby defence, putting in a number of crosses that lead to half chances for Dynamo but they were unable to take them. A quick Sileby break resulted in a free kick, but Tim Austin blasted the effort wide. Dynamo responded but twice shots from good positions were put wide of the target. Sileby's best chance of the evening arrived in the dying minutes of the game when a cross from the right evaded everyone in the six yard box the ball falling to Josh Wells, but he could only steer the ball the wrong side of the post.
