Dynamo leave Norfolk with a point!

Loughborough Dynamo came away from Norfolk with a point after drawing 1-1 at Dereham Town.

In their longest away game of the season, a near seven hour round trip, it was a lack of concentration near the end that saw them only leave with a point.

There was a fair bit of excitement for the fans in the buildup to the game as well, as Nottingham Forest legend and now Dynamo Assistant Manager Lewis McGugan was named on the subs bench.

The game was open throughout with both sides regularly getting into good positions and creating chances but not being able to find the net.

In the first half, Dynamo went as close as hitting the post through Callum Cocks when a corner found him unmarked at the back post.

New signing Theo Sackey-Mensah and Kevin Bastos also went close in the first half while at the other end Lewis King made a couple of good saves to keep the scores level.

It took just six minutes in the second half for Dynamo to take the lead. Bastos scored his ninth goal of the season by receiving the ball on the left hand side, cutting inside and unleashing a powerful shot and the keeper had no chance.

After scoring Dynamo kept pushing for a second but it never came. Captain Rob Norris had a free kick cleared off the line and Bastos had another goal disallowed for offside.

However, as the game drew to a close, Dereham attacked more and more and with just four minutes to go, Dion Frary headed in to make it 1-1.

On reflection, a draw was probably a fair result but having led for most of the second half, Dynamo were left feeling deflated at not being able to hold on for all three points.
