Loughborough Dynamo fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Cambridge City.
The result leaves Loughborough with just one win from their last eight as their promising start to the season now feels a long time ago.
Before the game, both sides paused for a minute silence and the laying of a wreath to mark Remembrance Weekend.
The first half was particularly quiet with both sides struggling to create clear cut chances.
Jack Gibson could have opened the scoring for Dynamo after a quarter of an hour but a defender did well to get a block in on his shot and make it easier for the keeper to save.
And just four minutes later Cambridge were ahead. A long range shot came in and bounced just in front of Dynamo goalkeeper Lewis King. All he could do was push the ball out and Tom Waumsley was there to score the rebound.
There was a lot of frustration evident in the Loughborough team at times especially with the referee and this saw goalkeeper Lewis King booked for dissent just before half time.
The second half was a lot livelier and just three minutes into the second half Dynamo midfielder Princewill Ogunmekan was brought down by a bad tackle.
He reacted badly to this and it led to a 4 minute delay as nearly all 22 players ended up in the centre of the pitch pushing and shoving each other. But the referee was happy just giving a yellow card apiece.
Loughborough were a lot better in the second half and went close on a number of occasions. Ogunmekan and Brandon Webster both had chances to score before Bastos had a goal disallowed for offside.
Despite dominating, Dynamo still looked vulnerable on the break when Cambridge counter attacked.
With a little less than 20 minutes to go Bastos pounced on a defensive error and was brought down in the box and the referee gave Dynamo a penalty.
Bastos stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 1-1.
This left the game wide open as both teams pushed for a winner. And it was Cambridge who got it 8 minutes before full time as Daniel Cotton scored on the break to win 2-1.
