An early goal for Sporting Khalsa was enough to beat Loughborough Dynamo 1-0 .
Sporting Khalsa have been one of the surprise teams in the league this season and currently sit in fourth place in the league.
And it was Sporting Khalsa who dominated the first half and they seemed to be in total control.
It took just 12 minutes for Khalsa to take the lead as James McGrady got in behind the Loughborough defence down the right hand side and found the corner of the net to make it 1-0.
The best effort that Dynamo could muster in the first half was a long range free kick effort from Kevin Bastos but it just went over the top of the net.
Khalsa could have had a couple more goals in the first half but the score stayed at one. One save from Dynamo goalkeeper Lewis King in particular where he managed to push a powerful shot onto the crossbar received applause and well done shouts from the home fans as well.
Dynamo came out in the second half a lot better and could have salvaged something if they’d managed to take their chances.
For a while the second half was end to end with both sides pushing for a goal but not finding it.
As the game wore on, it became more and more one way traffic, with Dynamo desperately trying to find an equaliser.
Kevin Bastos managed to hit the bar with an effort from outside the box while Eddie Bamfo fired wide from close range and it stayed 1-0.
