A late goal on debut for Gianluca Bucci earned Loughborough Dynamo all three points at home to Cambridge City.
The result earned Loughborough Dynamo their first win of the season and gave them a much needed boost ahead of Bank Holiday Monday’s Dynamo Derby.
Even before kick off there was a surprise as Tom Hayes named four debutants in the starting eleven with another on the bench. Sam Parker and Callum Minkley arrived midweek from Long Eaton, alongside Gianluca Bucci from Spalding, and The Moes also welcomed Ashaiah Fearon on loan from Notts County.
It was a game marred with injuries as both sides were forced into an early substitution in the first ten minutes and Dynamo had to reshuffle at the back to replace the injured David Chapman.
The game struggled to get going with all the disruption and there were few chances for either side.
There was further defensive trouble for Loughborough in second half when Charlie Jemson had to be taken to hospital after a nasty head injury.
The game seemed to be petering out towards the end with both teams seemingly happy for a point until Dynamo floated a corner into the box and a fortuitous deflection fell to Gianluca Bucci who fired home to earn all three points for Loughborough Dynamo with Cambridge City going home feeling slightly hard done to.
