Hinckley LRFC 0-0 Dynamo

Loughborough Dynamo’s unbeaten league run stretched to four months after a 0-0 draw at Hinckley LRFC.

The game saw two of the league’s top scorers coming up against each other in Evan Garnett and Tendai Daire but neither managed to get on the scoresheet in this game.

When The Moes turned up at Hinckley they were preparing for their first game in three weeks after a number of fixture postponements due to weather and they now face 12 fixtures in 41 days to catch up.

The result sees Dynamo remain in the play off spots with up to four games in hand on some of their rivals.

There was a slow start to the game and it was clear that Loughborough were feeling their way back into the action after their enforced break.

On balance, The Moes had the better of the first half and dominated possession but they struggled to create any clear cut chances with a lot of their shots coming from range.

Dynamo’s best chance of the game came after just a quarter of an hour when Evan Garnett had a shot inside the box but it was well blocked by a defender.

Dynamo were forced into a change at the break as centre back Mitchell Robinson came off injured and manager Tom Hayes had to make a tactical switch with Jonathan White coming on in his place.

In the second half it was the home side who stepped it up and were on top but Dynamo goalkeeper Lewis King dealt comfortably with any shots that came his way.

With Hinckley LRFC just one place outside the play offs, Loughborough will not be too disappointed with a point but will now look to push on over the Christmas period.
