We can confirm we have sold Kevin Da Silva Bastos for an undisclosed fee

Loughborough Dynamo Football Club can today confirm that we have reached an agreement with Basford United for the transfer of Kevin Da Silva Bastos for an undisclosed fee.

Bastos joined the Moes back in August 2021 and pretty quickly went on to sign a contract that was due to finish this summer. In his time at the club, Kevin made 58 appearances for the first team scoring 29 goals and 26 assists.

Loughborough Dynamo Co-Chairmen Darren Rodgers and Ian Beech said: “We want to thank Kevin Bastos for all his efforts over the last season and a half. He has been a big part of our squad and has contributed brilliantly with all his goals and assists.

“When Kevin signed his contract early in the 2021/22 season, we were delighted as it gave both us and Kevin long term security for both last season and this season. But we were also clear that should interest materialise from a higher division, we wouldn’t stand in Kevin’s way and prevent him from being able to take the opportunity to test himself at a higher level. So, when Basford got in touch, we were happy to enter into negotiations with them. The deal was right for both clubs, and we wish Kevin well for the future.”

Kevin was also voted Fans Player of the Season for the 2021/22 season and has consistently been in the race to be the league’s top scorer in the last two years.

Loughborough Dynamo manager Brad Munn said: ““Kevin has grown significantly on and off the pitch in the last season and a half with us. We took it personally to try and make him understand what it takes to progress and how things appear. I hope he continues to improve week on week and shows now a new league what he truly is capable of, which in my opinion is that he is capable to take even more steps up the football pyramid.

“It has been a pleasure working with Kev and we are just pleased to have been a part in his development in to one of the most exciting wide men this league has seen.

“I personally wish Kev the very best”

Everyone at Loughborough Dynamo wishes Kevin well for the future and we thank him for his efforts at the club.
